About The Position

Allied Universal is seeking a professional and dependable Armed Housing Security Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling various areas, providing access control, and ensuring the safety and security of clients and the public. Requirements

Be at least 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess an active driver's license.
Possess a valid Florida Security License D License and G License.
Possess a high school diploma.
Must have U.S. Military Service (DD214 Honorable Discharge); or Police/Corrections Academy Certification (U.S. only with Certificate); or Associate's Degree (60 College Credits on Official Transcripts).
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security/safety training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol various areas of the county, including entrances and restricted areas.
Provide access control and patrols.
Maintain a visible presence and display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Handle the pressure of working with a high volume general public (constantly to occasionally).
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
