Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess a Corrections Officer License.
  • Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associate degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and policy-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying credentials and/or authorizations while following post orders and security-related procedures.
  • Support incident reporting, de-escalation, and coordination during alarms, medical events, and other urgent situations while maintaining a professional presence.
