About The Position

The Field Supervisor for Walden Security manages, supervises, and coordinates the activities, at the field level, of all assigned Security Officers and executes all tasks related to maintaining prescribed standards in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures. This role provides the first line of supervision during those hours when an Operations Staff member is not on duty. The supervisor works as an armed, uniformed officer and is able to legally carry a firearm in applicable states and/or locations. They patrol assigned posts and accounts using a company-provided vehicle, have the authority to make decisions in compliance with Walden policies, and can relieve any security officer in violation of Walden rules/regulations/procedures. The position involves shift supervision of all posts and security officers, including roving patrols, and performing random inspections of officers and posts for compliance with Post Orders and Walden procedures. The supervisor also assists in on-the-job training for new officers, responds to alarms and urgent client needs, and reports significant issues to management. Daily events are recorded on a Daily Inspection Report (DIR). The supervisor may also fill open posts or work a shift if a qualified officer cannot be scheduled. Responsibilities include examining doors, windows, and gates for security, warning violators of rule infractions, and registering at watch stations to record inspection times.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 25 years of age
  • Ability to pass drug test, motor vehicle record and criminal background check
  • AT LEAST 3 years security experience
  • Security Supervisor experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists in conducting on-the-job training for new security officers.
  • Responds to building/facility and bank alarms, and ATM alarms as required.
  • Responds to urgent client needs/requests for services or changes to services.
  • Informs Field Manager or Operations Manager of urgent matters.
  • Records daily events on the Daily Inspection Report (DIR).
  • Fills open posts with off-duty security officers or works the shift if a post cannot be filled.
  • Examines doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure.
  • Warns violators of rule infractions and expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
  • Registers at watch stations to record inspection times.
