About The Position

An Armed Experienced Security Officer is expected to maintain a high standard of professionalism and judgment while executing their duties to ensure the safety and security of the assigned premises and personnel.

Requirements

Minimum of 3–5 years of security experience, preferably in armed or high-risk security environments.
Possession of a valid firearms license and any other relevant security certifications as required by local laws (e.g., armed security officer license).
Completion of advanced security officer training, including firearms proficiency, emergency response tactics, and conflict resolution.
Good physical condition with the ability to handle demanding situations and long shifts.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively report incidents and interact with clients, staff, and law enforcement.
Ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure, especially in high-stress situations.
Ability to spot potential risks and inconsistencies in the security environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in corporate, industrial, or government security settings.
Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and ability to work collaboratively with police officers and emergency personnel.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas (on foot or by vehicle) to monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or security breaches.
Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies quickly and efficiently. Assess situations and take appropriate action, including using firearms when necessary to protect life and property.
Monitor and control access to secure areas, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors are allowed entry. Check identification and verify credentials.
Document security incidents, accidents, or disturbances, and report them to management or law enforcement as necessary.
Carry and use firearms according to legal and organizational guidelines, ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site.
Continuously assess and mitigate potential threats to personnel, property, and assets. Recommend security improvements to management.
Provide assistance to employees, visitors, or clients by offering information and ensuring a positive, safe environment.
Participate in regular training on firearms handling, emergency response, first aid, and other security-related topics.
Work closely with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security professionals to ensure optimal security protocols are followed.
Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies regarding the use of force, firearms, and security practices.
