Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, visitor reception activities, and/or emergency response support within a government office location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, greet employees and visitors, verify identification and/or appointment information, and help to direct foot traffic according to location policies.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Maintain front desk logs, visitor records, and other required documentation, and report security-related concerns, access issues, and/or policy violations through appropriate channels.
  • Answer phones, provide general assistance at the entrance area, and help to support a professional atmosphere while following post orders and client-facing service expectations.
