Armed Driver Messenger
About The Position
GardaWorld is hiring an Armed Driver Messenger to transport cash and other valuables. The role includes interacting with customers and issuing and receiving receipts to confirm transfers of valuables. Employees are responsible for maintaining a high degree of security and control, keeping a safe driving record, and staying alert to their surroundings to prevent losses. All positions are armed. The position is full-time, scheduled Monday through Friday, with no weekends. Listed pay rates are $18 per hour without a firearms license, $19.75 per hour with an active firearms license, and up to $24.75 per hour with an active firearms license or relevant work experience.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a valid and clean driver's license.
- Have or be able to obtain and maintain active guard and firearm permits or licenses as required by state regulations.
- Have strong customer service skills.
- Communicate effectively in person and by radio.
- Be willing to operate large vehicles in all weather and traffic conditions.
- Be able to meet the heavy-lifting requirement of 50 pounds or more.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
