About The Position

United Security Inc. is seeking talented individuals to join their growing team in New Jersey as Armed Detention Officers. This is an employment opportunity with established Government Contractors. The role involves the secure custody of Federal inmates in a medical facility, providing protection and safekeeping. This requires maintaining physical control of inmates to prevent escape and constant visual observation. Requirements

• Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Can always stay alert
• A minimum of 3 years Law Enforcement, Military Police, or Correctional Police Officer experience with a Federal, State, County or Local agency.
• Valid Carry permit, annual firearms qualification
• Must be 21 years of Age.
• High School Diploma, GED, or foreign equivalency (DD214 with honorable discharge will be acceptable)
• State Armed Carry Permit
• NJ Armed License

Responsibilities

• The secure custody of Federal inmates in a medical facility.
• Furnishing the necessary personnel to provide for the protection and safekeeping of those inmates.
• Maintain constant control over, and direct visual observation of the inmate.
• Ensure physical control of the inmates by the contractor shall be sufficient to prevent escape.
