Arena Conversion Crew - Las Vegas
About The Position
This is a part-time, on-call, as needed (W-2) position for Arena Conversion Crew members. Conversion Techs assist with the day-to-day conversion operations at large venues on the Las Vegas Strip, contributing to the successful execution of major concerts, sporting events, and resident shows. This role is described as a "foot in the door" opportunity in the entertainment industry, serving as a first step to becoming a Stagehand. Requirements
- Ability to push, pull and lift at least 50 lbs. as required for equipment handling.
- Ability to consistently walk, stand, bend, stoop & twist as required for on-site tasks.
- Reliable source of transportation to get to and from event sites in a timely manner.
- Must understand general industry terms and fundamental principles.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must be willing to work indoors or outdoors under varying weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work cohesively with teammates and supervisors.
- Must wear appropriate attire and footwear for concert / corporate events as outlined in Rhino policies.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English to ensure the safe execution of tasks and coordination with crew and clients.
- Must be 18 yrs of age or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- OSHA 10 General Industry certification required by the State of Nevada.
- Ability to receive, understand, and respond to safety-critical instructions in dynamic, high-risk environments.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers while working around heavy equipment, elevated structures, rigging, and rapidly changing conditions.
- Must be able to perform essential communication functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, using any effective method applicable to the task.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Set and strike staging, risers, chairs, bleachers, house drapes, portable flooring, boxing rings, etc.
- Work with venue staff on all other conversion related duties as requested and/or assigned.
