About The Position

Sirtex Medical is a global healthcare company focused on improving outcomes for cancer patients through targeted radiation therapy. We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Representative to cover the Atlanta area. This role involves providing medical procedure coverage and in-servicing within a multi-state geography. You will report to the Area Sales Director for the Southeast sales region and are expected to reside within the region you will work. This is a growth-oriented role within a dynamic organization committed to innovation and patient well-being.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in medical procedure coverage (e.g., Interventional Radiology, Operating Room, Cath Lab, Office-based).
  • Ability to effectively interact with a variety of healthcare professionals and articulate a clinical sales message.
  • Proven track record of sales success.
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and virtual engagement skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organization, time management, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Interventional Radiology (IR), Operating Room (OR), Cath Lab, Office-based or related fields.
  • Previous work experience in medical device, B2B, or a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and technical support to Clinicians and other staff during procedures related to SIR-Spheres microspheres.
  • Manage and achieve set business targets within the assigned territory.
  • Assist Regional Sales Managers in meeting and exceeding their business targets.
  • Develop relationships in key areas of the hospital.
  • Deliver sales presentations and perform on-site product demonstrations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of account plans for key accounts and partners.
  • Develop an understanding of the market unique to the territory.
  • Continuously educate yourself on disease states, the business environment, and relevant clinical articles.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality System procedures, work instructions, and other Quality System requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment Management System procedures, instructions, and other requirements.
