About The Position

We’re currently looking for a dynamic and driven Area Sales Manager to join our team at Current, focusing on driving growth for our Tetra signage brand across the Southwest Region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, particularly within the Signage industry, and possess exceptional relationship-building skills. This role covers multiple states in the Southwest Region, and will ideally be home based in DFW, Houston, or San Antonio TX markets. As an Area Sales Manager you’ll be responsible for strategically driving sales across Lighting and Controls groups focused on Signage and developing and maintaining strong Sign Shop (OEM), distributor, and specifier relationships to ensure they fully understand and advocate for Current's tetra products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 5years working directly in electrical signage
  • Minimum of 4 years of commercial sales, preferably across a multi-state territory
  • Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with distribution & OEM partners to drive sales conversions
  • Proven experience in developing and executing distribution plans to achieve growth targets
  • Ability to maintain strong self-discipline and motivation to independently manage frequent field travel to meet sales goals

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the electrical signage business and in-depth knowledge of products and applications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Actively promote and manage Tetra Signage products within the designated territory
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with signage distributors, sign manufacturers, and strategic clients
  • Manage sales pipeline and sales conversion metrics through CRM and other reporting tools
  • Coordinate closely with the Regional Sales Support Specialist to ensure effective conversion strategies based on feedback, reporting, and diagnostics
  • Respond promptly to customer needs, inquiries, and concerns to build credibility and trust
  • Collaborate closely with National Signage Sales Team to maximize sales and profitability
  • Create strong synergy by working closely with other Area Managers, Specification Sales Leads, and other internal stakeholders to foster a culture of success
  • Proactively maintain communication and rapport with decision-makers at distribution and sign OEMs
