About The Position

B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group is seeking a star Area Sales Manager to support the sales efforts of their area hotels, which operate under multiple brands. This role focuses on championing customer and owner objectives in line with the company's Quality Pledge and Mission Statement. The position involves actively participating in direct sales, focusing on customer needs, selling products and services to various market segments, generating new business, and maintaining existing client/corporate accounts. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior sales experience desired.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to problem-solve with employees and guests.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic Microsoft Office and Delphi experience also desired.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving sales room night and revenue goals through business development, account management, and hotel site sales calls.
  • Developing, building, and maintaining excellent client relationships through community involvement, local visitors' bureaus, market-specific organizations, and cultivating a client database.
  • Managing sales expenses to maximize hotel profitability, adhering to procurement guidelines, and assisting with department budget preparation.
  • Ensuring client satisfaction by meeting service standards, responding to client needs promptly, and effectively communicating client requirements to operational departments.
  • Resolving client complaints and concerns in a courteous and friendly manner, focusing on service recovery.
  • Utilizing sales and catering tools/systems for accurate sales data identification, reporting, forecasting, and communication, ensuring data integrity by documenting information in Delphi daily.
  • Supporting operations to maintain standards per company, brand, and regulatory requirements, ensuring a clean and safe work environment, and following incident procedures.
  • Effectively managing self and workload, demonstrating clear written and verbal communication skills, and promoting collaboration.
  • Attending department/hotel meetings for communication and planning.
  • Adhering to all company Standard Operating Procedures.
