About The Position

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for delivering consistent performance results in sales achievement and growth of a specified territory, market development and key strategic objectives in the promotion and sales of the injectable product portfolio within a defined geographical area. This position requires up to 80% business travel within assigned territory; and some nationwide and international travel to attend meetings, training, conferences and company events. This position reports to the National Sales Director/Regional Sales Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Science or Business preferred)
  • 3 years proven sales experience in a B2B environment with documented success (Preference for aesthetics, dermatology, or cosmeceutical sales)
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to apply the following behavioral competencies on the job:

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory business plan, utilizing and leveraging territory reports to identify emerging trends and strategize accordingly
  • Manage and develop relationships with key accounts within the assigned territory
  • Develop thorough account plans for all strategic customers
  • Effectively manage sales of multiple products and line extensions
  • Utilize sales tools and resources to maximize impact
  • Deliver sales message/presentation in an organized and effective manner
  • Effectively execute sell in and sell through strategies
  • Independently plan territory routing to consistently achieve territory account coverage
  • Leverage knowledge of key customers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to identify new opportunities
  • Communicate and collaborate with Marketing, Customer Service, Nurse Trainers and NSM (National Sales Manager)
  • Submit all administrative reports, expense reports and business plans accurately and in a timely manner
  • Up to 80% business travel within assigned territory; and, some nationwide and international travel to attend meetings, training, conferences and company events, as well as working evening when required
  • Assist with training and mentoring new sales staff
  • Other duties as assigned
