About The Position

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for visiting dealerships to sign new dealerships, grow application counts with existing dealerships, and capture approved contracts. This role involves reviewing deals with dealer partners to help them structure or restructure as needed to fit the program. The Area Sales Manager will act as a consultant/partner to F&I Managers to ensure maximum profitability for dealerships through the sale of UAC products. They will also work closely with assigned Credit Analysts and Funders to ensure loan approvals and fast funding, and collaborate with the Dealer Compliance team to resolve issues within their market. Building and maintaining dealer relationships, and following up on approved Loan Applications are key responsibilities. Providing best-in-class customer service to dealer customers is essential. This is a field-based role requiring the employee to be on-site at dealer locations throughout the workday within an assigned territory (typically within a 60-mile radius). A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance are required. The role also requires the ability to work Saturdays as needed in the field.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years previous experience in a challenging sales role with a proven track record of success
  • Previous experience in Auto Finance sales and underwriting or dealership experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work Saturdays as needed out in the field
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Candidates should be comfortable drafting professional emails and navigating internal systems, including CRM systems
  • Familiarity with common office applications (e.g. Word or Google Workspace) sufficient

Nice To Haves

  • Sub-prime auto finance experience is highly preferred
