The Area Sales Manager (ASM) role supports the sales team's demands and needs under the guidance of the VP or Director Sales & Marketing. The ASM will manage on-site sales staff, oversee community activities, and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, evaluating, managing, mentoring, and retaining sales staff, as well as performing on-site reviews and managing the contract process for accuracy and timeliness. The role also enforces company policies, ensures compliance with pricing and sales release guidelines, and coordinates change orders and special option requests. Additionally, the ASM confirms neighborhood incentives, updates CMAs, maintains knowledge of the competitive market, assists in new community openings/closings, provides input on marketing needs, and ensures correct community signage and branding. The position also involves partnering with corporate marketing, championing Realtor outreach, and requiring a valid driver's license for travel.
