About The Position

This position is accountable for supervising and training his/her Account Managers in managing and establishing relationships with current and future retailers in assigned territory to ensure the successful sales and volume growth by increasing the availability and visibility of our brands through customer relations and service, quality control, proper merchandising and promotions. Accountable for developing outstanding internal and external customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Account Manager or Beverage Supervisor experience, REQUIRED
  • Ability to work with computer programs associated with the performance of the position.
  • Must be a results-oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills; uses diplomacy and discretion
  • Ability to work well with all levels of the organization, to organize, prioritize, negotiate, manage, motive others and solve problems
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Highly professional, with ability to interface well with internal and external contacts
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal expertise
  • Decision making, thoroughness and time management a must
  • Knowledge of geographic areas; familiarity with assigned territory
  • Possess a valid Texas drivers license and have an acceptable MVR
  • Carry automobile insurance per company policy

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and training Account Managers.
  • Managing and establishing relationships with current and future retailers.
  • Ensuring successful sales and volume growth by increasing brand availability and visibility.
  • Developing outstanding internal and external customer relationships.
  • Making assigned accounts daily and/or weekly.
  • Selling in new brands or packages.
  • Ensuring proper product rotation and removal of expired products.
  • Communicating with delivery and merchandising departments.
  • Promoting additional sales through displays and POS placement.
  • Managing account base allocation of POS.
  • Informing Sales Manager of competitive activity.
  • Reporting price parity/discrepancies with competitive brands/packages.
  • Tracking competitive price letters and discounts.
  • Ensuring pass-through pricing is reflected in retail.
  • Monitoring and reporting actual price off features.
  • Managing and selling window sets, window positions, and window signage.
  • Ensuring chain accounts are scanned into the database and assisting with box resets.
  • Ensuring Account Managers place all pricing items allowed by retailers.
  • Monitoring Account Managers’ progress on monthly incentives.
  • Turning in daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork on time.
  • Maintaining updated sales and distribution information.
  • Reviewing new package placements weekly.
  • Executing retail surveys.
  • Reporting to Sales Manager regarding account’s service level vs. needs.
  • Monitoring out-of-date products.
  • Monitoring product quotas and distribution goals for Account Managers.
  • Performing extra deliveries as needed.
  • Filling in for absent Merchandisers or when extra Merchandisers are needed.
  • Having a working knowledge of each sales route and handheld computer system.
  • Submitting and recapping weekly work plans.
  • Setting sales goals and objectives for the sales staff.
  • Creating new forms and procedures.
  • Developing new ways to communicate with Sales, Drivers, and Merchandisers.
  • Training and developing all personnel.
  • Riding with each Account Manager per month to observe and improve performance.
  • Reporting manpower needs and requests to Sales Manager.
  • Developing new plans and ideas to make daily duties more efficient.
  • Working with retailers on ways to increase sales.
  • Meeting with store owner/manager/director on each visit.
  • Demonstrating a sincere interest in the business success of each account.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude towards fellow employees.
  • Ensuring adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Conducting performance appraisals.
  • Attending company and vendor meetings.
