About The Position

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) I is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with end-user customers and distributor partners to drive sales and expand market reach. The ASM I must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of the Cleanroom market, including distribution channels. The ASM I must be adept at managing multiple accounts, identifying new sales opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA. or BS.) from a four-year accredited college or university; three (3) to five (5) years of industry-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements (i.e., EPA, FDA, ISO) is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to learn and become proficient in Contec’s CRM system (C2) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working within Cleanroom, or another regulated industry, is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience working within CRM systems is also strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implements sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets according to business unit objectives.
  • Identifies new prospects and opportunities to increase market share.
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with customers and distributor partners.
  • Works closely to understand their needs and aligns actions accordingly.
  • Maintains a deep understanding of the Cleanroom product line and effectively communicates product benefits and features to customers.
  • Travels frequently within designated territory to meet with customers and conduct sales presentations.
  • Manages travel logistics effectively, including scheduling and coordination of meetings and events.
  • Prepares and delivers compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to end-user customers, distributor partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Utilizes sales and marketing tools (e.g., Highspot) to craft customer-centric content.
  • Gathers market information within the sales territory to identify trends, assesses the competitive landscape, and understands customer needs.
  • Shares verbal and written insights with management and key support teams (i.e., Product Management, Marketing, Research & Development, and Technical Services).
  • Provides exceptional support to end-user customers and distributor partners.
  • Addresses issues or concerns promptly and ensures a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Utilizes Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain accurate and current records of sales activities, pipeline statuses, and customer interactions.
  • Prepares and submits regular reports on sales performance and market trends.
  • Participates and works within ISO 9001 quality standards and guidelines in accordance with Contec’s quality goals.
