About The Position

Flowers Bakeries has an immediate opening for an Area Sales Director who will be responsible for supporting DSD (direct store delivery) sales and Independent Distributors (IDs). This role involves supporting IDs in managing customer relationships, engaging in sales activities, growing their customer base, seeking new selling opportunities, and tracking sales data. The Area Sales Director will also build and maintain strong customer relationships with key accounts to ensure promotion and display execution, and utilize digital tools to demonstrate execution wins and growth opportunities. The role requires collaboration with a Market Vice President and the Sales Enablement team to analyze market and territory opportunities for maximizing sales, and to adjust sales strategies using consumer insights.

Requirements

  • Experience as a sales rep, distributor, or other sales position required.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
  • Valid Driver's License and Safe Driving Record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of relevant experience in general management or sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably Sales or Business Administration) or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting DSD (direct store delivery) sales and IDs (Independent Distributors).
  • Supporting IDs’ efforts to manage customer relationships, engage in sales activities, grow their customer base, seek new selling opportunities in the market, and track sales data.
