About The Position

Cardinal Senior Living is hiring an Area Sales Director! The Area Director of Sales is responsible for driving occupancy, census growth, and revenue performance across a portfolio of senior living communities. This leader develops and executes aggressive sales and marketing strategies, works along side community Executive Directors, and ensures consistent achievement of occupancy and move-in goals. The role partners closely with Executive Directors, Operations, and Regional Leadership to maximize market share, improve conversion performance, and accelerate census growth. The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales leader with a proven track record of increasing occupancy, developing high-performing sales teams, and creating sustainable pipelines that deliver consistent move-ins.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a customer service-oriented profession.
  • Two (2) years directly related experience working with the admissions, marketing, and/or sales.
  • Ability to carry out admissions functions for a senior living environment.
  • Working knowledge of referral process, reimbursement programs, personal care home regulations, admissions, and discharge procedures.
  • Excellent customer service and speaking/presentation skills.
  • Computer experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to interpret complex standards and regulations and write concise reports and histories.
  • Able to lift, bend, stoop, push, pull supplies, or furniture up to 50 pounds (may need to ask for assistance at times).
  • Able to complete the functions necessary to transport a resident in a wheelchair.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience is preferred
  • Basic understanding of medical conditions, medications, and functional status for the population related to skilled and rehabilitation service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead occupancy growth initiatives across assigned communities with accountability for census, move-ins, and revenue goals.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans designed to achieve and exceed occupancy targets.
  • Monitor occupancy trends, competitive positioning, conversion rates, lead volume, and sales effectiveness. Identify underperforming communities and implement immediate corrective action plans to improve occupancy.
  • Conduct weekly occupancy reviews with ED and Regional Ops Director for the communities served.
  • Ensure communities maintain healthy prospect pipelines sufficient to achieve forecasted move-ins. Drive inquiry-to-tour, tour-to-deposit, and deposit-to-move-in conversion performance.
  • Partner with operations teams to reduce vacancy days and maximize inventory utilization. Support pricing and revenue management strategies that optimize occupancy and financial performance.
