About The Position

Corcept is seeking a strategic and people-focused sales leader to drive performance, accountability, and collaboration across our Endocrinology Sales organization. This individual will lead and develop Regional Managers and Clinical Specialists in the South Area while executing a compliant, patient-focused commercial strategy designed to achieve meaningful business results. The ideal candidate brings strong field leadership experience, sound business judgment and a demonstrated ability to build engaged teams that will navigate complex market dynamics, and deliver sustained sales growth.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and coach area and regional sales teams toward exceeding objectives
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, business planning, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; confident delivering recommendations
  • Successful track record of hiring, developing, promoting, and retaining top talent
  • Independent, innovative thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 10 years of field sales management with a proven record of success
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed area sales goals; manage promotional budgets and execute national sales strategy
  • Lead and develop Regional Managers and Clinical Specialists, serving as the primary link between field teams and senior management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Area Key Opinion Leaders
  • Identify market opportunities, share best practices, and proactively communicate strategies to cross-functional partners
  • Monitor pipeline of future enrollments and pull-through of current patients awaiting therapy
  • Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts to senior leadership
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of market access and managed markets; ensure timely, compliant patient shipment processes
  • Oversee performance management, disciplinary processes, and recruiting, hiring, training, and retention for all area team members
  • Provide frequent coaching and feedback to direct reports; foster a collaborative, supportive environment that drives retention and patient outcomes
  • Attend commercial leadership meetings; address business issues and recommend solutions to improve productivity and operational efficiency
  • Demonstrate and communicate deep subject matter expertise across the disease space
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, PhRMA guidelines, and Corcept policies
