The Area Sales Consultant is a traveling, individual-contributor sales role responsible for driving home sales across multiple communities. This position is deployed where inventory exists or sales performance needs to improve. This role owns the full sales cycle from lead generation, appointment setting, application, lender process, and closing, with a clear expectation to produce consistent monthly sales results. Primary Objective: Convert available inventory into closed home sales as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Requirements

  • Ability to use company-provided computers, property management software, and related technology tools
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to safely operate a vehicle
  • Reliable personal transportation with the ability to respond quickly to community needs or emergencies
  • Physically able to navigate throughout the community on paved and unpaved roads
  • Able to access various areas of the property, including the sides and rear of homes, to read utility meters
  • Comfortable walking the community multiple times per week to perform inspections and ensure property standards
  • Capable of performing light physical tasks such as painting, cleaning, and basic upkeep when needed
  • Willingness to complete random drug testing as required, in compliance with all applicable Local, State, and Federal regulations
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of any lawfully permitted background check conducted after a conditional job offer, consistent with Local, State, Federal, and other applicable laws
  • Must meet company standards for reliability and trust appropriate for a position of responsibility within a residential community

Responsibilities

  • Full Pipeline Ownership: Create and manage deal cards at the appointment stage, Maintain accurate, daily activity in HubSpot, Own each deal from first contact through closing
  • Lead Generation (Daily Expectation): Post daily on Facebook Marketplace and local groups, Re-engage aged leads (30, 60, 90+ days), Drive inbound inquiries into booked appointments
  • Appointment & Conversion Execution: Set appointments with urgency (same-day follow-up standard), Conduct showings and move prospects to application, Maintain strong conversion from showing → application
  • Deal Progression & Closing: Ensure applications are submitted within 24–48 hours of commitment, Proactively push lender conditions to resolution, Drive deals to close within ~30 days whenever possible
  • Inventory Focus: Prioritize aged inventory and high-need communities, Host open houses (especially weekends), Actively market and reposition homes to generate demand
  • Travel & Coverage: Travel to assigned communities (75%+), Support multiple markets based on inventory needs, Maintain flexibility for weekend activity and short-notice deployment
