About The Position

Area Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, always ensuring high-level of service. Property Managers are also responsible for motivating high-performing teams to maximize the performance of the property. This role involves overseeing all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits. It requires providing superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. The manager will complete lease/renewal paperwork, track and evaluate advertising and client traffic, and develop, mentor, lead, and manage a high-performing, cohesive team including leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel. The role also involves driving revenues through understanding and analysis of competition and developing creative marketing programs, and leading by example to instill, maintain, and model Cushman & Wakefield’s mission.

Requirements

  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills
  • General office, bookkeeping and sales skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage a team
  • 3+ years of Property Management experience
  • 3+ years of Management experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the smooth running of our community in a fast-paced environment.
  • Overseeing all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.
  • Providing superior customer service and communication to our residents and prospects to enhance customer satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
  • Complete lease/renewal paperwork to ensure completion to company standards.
  • Track and evaluate advertising, and all client traffic.
  • Developing, mentoring, leading, and managing a high-performing, cohesive team, including leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel, in order to maximize their engagement and minimize turnover.
  • Driving revenues with your thorough understanding and analysis of competition and development of creative marketing programs.
  • Leading by example.

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the entire on-site team, ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching team as necessary.
  • Maintain residents' files in accordance with company's standards.
  • Maintain a positive living environment for community residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up.
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of overall community budget and finances.
  • Work with leasing staff to ensure that leasing/marketing goals are being met.
  • Determine leasing opportunities of staff and work on goal setting, improving the performance of each staff member.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of team, ensuring that all C&W policies and procedures are followed.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
