This role is responsible for capital projects delivery and collaborative stakeholder relationships with terminal area leads and other staff in developing and executing the infrastructure project portfolio. Directs, manages development and executes the area project portfolio and is the primary point of contact with internal stakeholders and suppliers for all projects within a defined terminal boundary (eg Multipurpose Cargo, Container terminals), identifying and pursuing opportunities for capacity development and optimization by proactively engaging strategy, planning, finance, operations and maintenance and other stakeholders. Leads teams of Project Managers (PM), Construction Managers (CM), Inspectors and other staff assigned in design and construction of capital projects and programs, including conceptual definition; engineering design; project scopes, specifications, schedules and cost estimates; procurement packages; construction, commissioning and handover of assets plus tracking project progress versus target costs and schedule, and facilitating issue resolution. Performs and leads others in project and construction management functions associated with all phases of a project, directing consultants, vendors, and contractors engaged in civil, structural, electrical, marine engineering, telecommunications, security, architecture, and other aspects. Works with budget owners, internal stakeholders, assigned staff, and other stakeholders to successfully execute the project development process. With and through team members, assigns project responsibilities and holds respective parties and self-accountable for successful completion. Supports Infrastructure department directors and chief, and internal stakeholders, in execution of business and technical strategies.
