About The Position

Sierra, a part of TJX Companies, is seeking an Area Operations Manager to ensure volume and productivity goals are met or exceeded. This role involves managing a safe workplace, performing analysis for staffing adjustments, ensuring adherence to proper work methods, and seeking continuous improvements. The manager will also be responsible for setting and improving performance plans, actively developing supervisors and staff through coaching and counseling, and inspiring the team with challenging assignments. Additionally, the role requires establishing and maintaining effective relationships with peers, teams, and senior managers for effective communication and collaboration, as well as mediating conflict resolution. Requirements

  • Previous experience managing diverse teams of 100+ associates
  • 4+ years supervisory experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict; ability to provide feedback and develop other leaders
  • Strong reasoning, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to interpret and understand policies and procedures and relate them to others
  • Strong technical skills including, word, excel and WMS experience
  • Must be available to support multiple shifts

Nice To Haves

  • 4 year degree in Business, Logistics or Industrial Engineering preferred
