About The Position

The Area Property Manager is responsible for ensuring the delivery of brand standards, exemplary service, training, onboarding, payroll and the development and execution of business and operational initiatives. Overall responsibilities are as follows, and not limited by other reasonable tasks assigned by the CEO and RED Leadership Team. Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Leadership Forecast talent needs and manage talent acquisition Create effective structures, process, and job performance management systems. Set goals and objectives for direct reports, in partnership with Property Leadership and RED business goals to align performance expectations and accountability. Sets a cadence of regular and consistent communication and 1:1s, with a focus on encouragement, accountability and RED mindset. Support tools, training, and learning and development (L&D) resources to educate and develop sales teams. Transfers functional knowledge and develops sales skills to all disciplines’ managers. Empowers employees to provide exceptional customer service. Observes service, organization, and communication behaviors of direct reports and provides regular and actionable feedback. Participates in, and daily practices, RED brand standards. Provides day-to-day leadership and ownership to operations teams with a focus on building a long-term, RED-culture and value-based relationship with customers and internal stakeholders which enables achievement and execution of all objectives. Lead the management team who report directly to this position. Management of marina, preventative maintenance, asset management, the creation of all duty sheets and all operations standards, including training manuals, trip blueprints and hiring initiatives. Accountable for captains completing pre-trip provisioning, preparation, vessel inspection, post-trip cleaning and resupply. Ensure all RED employee policies are being followed. Foster a team environment. Challenge and motivate staff to achieve sales, provide superior guest service and promote RED. Be an expert at problem solving using proven methodologies. Finance and Accounting Manage labor and expenses for the department. Ensure monthly billing accuracy and deliver monthly reconciliation/audit of all financial statements, including direct booking revenue for motorized and nonmotorized watersports, third party revenue and retail revenue. Participate in the development of annual budgets and completion of monthly critiques. Human Resources Accountable for all human resources activities, including recruiting, hiring and onboarding processes, progressive discipline policies, equity reviews and local compliance Ultimate ownership and responsibility in creating and maintaining up-to-date training, hiring, and onboarding manuals. Conduct monthly performance critiques with RED senior leadership Ultimate responsibility in ensuring that all staff certifications and training, including CPR and emergency training, are regularly completed, renewed, and documented. Operations Lead the coordination of all employees and initiatives in collaboration for the hotel team Collaborate with hotel property operators to engage in relationship building and service execution Develop a culture of inclusiveness, communication and respect amongst the team. Manage all third party vendor relationships. Provide hands-on, on-site support to the team Observe, modify and implement new policies and procedures to continuously challenge the status quo and refine the business model by offering better value to our customers Incorporate guest satisfaction as a crucial component of department meetings, with a focus on associate recognition, accountability, and continuous improvement. Maintains successful performance by increasing revenue, controlling expenses, and accurate forecasting for both sales and retail. Ultimately accountable for the successful establishment and maintenance of all vendor and third-party relationships. Accountable for the achievement of all property retail sales and inventory management goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years management in luxury hospitality operations, watersports and commercial boating experience, familiarity with US Coast Guard or equivalent compliance
  • Progression of leadership and proven success leading large and diverse teams.
  • Luxury travel and hospitality experience, with previous concierge watersports and/or high-end resort experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours due to guest demands, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to write English in a professional manner, as well as communicate verbally at the same level
  • Demonstrated skill in leading a diverse, multi-location, multi-brand team.
  • Retail and inventory management experience.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
