Managers are responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives. This position serves as a frontline operational leader and cultural driver, acting as an agent of positive change while demonstrating personal integrity, accountability, and a strong commitment to internal and external customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum 3 years of production or operations experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to drive accountability and performance within a team.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
  • Working knowledge of measurement techniques and basic Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective coaching, conflict resolution, and team development skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of personal integrity and accountability.

  • Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all shift production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Monitor daily production metrics and take immediate corrective action when performance deviates from plan.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S across the production floor.
  • Lead detailed, professional, and transparent shift turnovers to ensure operational continuity.
  • Champion a safety-first culture; enforce safety standards and promptly address unsafe conditions or behaviors.
  • Ensure compliance with company environmental programs and all applicable State of Indiana laws and regulations.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, blueprint/specification interpretation, and measurement practices.
  • Utilize basic SPC and other data-driven tools to monitor and improve performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Provide clear, consistent communication regarding business conditions, priorities, and expectations.
  • Conduct timely 30-60-90 day probationary reviews and annual performance evaluations.
  • Develop and execute individual development plans for direct reports.
  • Build bench strength through structured succession planning.
  • Coach, mentor, and hold team members accountable to performance standards.
  • Address performance and behavioral issues promptly and professionally.
  • Support staffing plans, scheduling, and labor management.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Participate in required internal and external training programs.
