Area Manager
About The Position
Join your locally owned Great Clips® salon organization in a leadership role that blends hands-on salon management with multi-salon oversight. As an Area Manager, you’ll directly manage one salon while also supporting and coaching a team of Salon Managers across a small group of additional locations. This role is ideal for an experienced salon or multi-unit leader who enjoys developing managers, maintaining strong brand standards, and driving consistent performance across teams. Great Clips is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee multiple salon locations. You’ll lead and coach salon managers and teams, drive sales and customer service results, and ensure brand standards are met. We’re looking for a strong leader with management experience in a busy salon, great people skills, and business acumen. Competitive base pay ($22-$30), plus tips, benefits, and growth opportunities available. Full time with ability to work weekends and current cosmetology/barber license required!
Requirements
- Previous salon management experience or multi-unit retail management experience
- A valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License (requirements vary by state/province)
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Flexibility to work across multiple salon locations within the surrounding area
- Ability to work weekends

Responsibilities
- Directly manage one salon.
- Support and coach a team of Salon Managers across a small group of additional locations.
- Lead and coach salon managers and teams.
- Drive sales and customer service results.
- Ensure brand standards are met.
- Manage a salon’s daily operations.
- Motivate and support other Salon Managers.
- Identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans.
- Work across multiple salon locations within the surrounding area.
- Collaborate and maintain accountability with a focus on proactively seeking solutions to challenges.
- Spend time across several salons to support leaders, monitor performance, and help maintain brand standards.
- Cut hair on a regular basis.
