About The Position

Clean Team Inc., a leading commercial cleaning company, is seeking a full-time Area Manager in the Grand Rapids, MI area. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities management. The Area Manager oversees multiple client sites, manages cleaning staff, ensures quality standards, and maintains strong customer relationships.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of management or supervisory experience (cleaning, facilities, or service industry preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple sites in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance

Responsibilities

  • Supervise janitorial staff across multiple locations
  • Ensure completion of commercial cleaning services to company standards
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control audits
  • Train and coach employees on safety, procedures, and productivity
  • Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and labor hours
  • Address employee relations, including coaching and discipline
  • Serve as primary contact for client accounts
  • Monitor performance metrics, turnover, and service quality
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies
  • Travel between accounts throughout West Michigan
