About The Position

We’re looking for an Area Manager to lead the operations, performance, and growth of approximately four to six swim school locations within a designated region. In this role, you’ll inspire and develop General Managers, Operations Managers, and Team Members while ensuring each location delivers a consistent, high-quality experience for children and their families. You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple communities by building strong teams, improving business performance, and helping more children learn a skill that can last a lifetime. Requirements

  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
  • Proven track record of engaging, developing, and retaining successful leaders.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze business performance and use data to drive decisions.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and locations.
  • Passion for developing people and creating exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Develop High-Performing Teams: Hire, onboard, train, coach, and mentor swim school managers and leaders. Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, engagement, and continuous growth. Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure locations are appropriately staffed. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development. Lead monthly manager meetings and training sessions to share best practices and reinforce operational standards. Partner with the HR Business Partner to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee Multi-Site Operations: Provide operational leadership across approximately four to six swim school locations. Ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures and company expectations. Monitor each location's performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and results. Ensure schools meet health, safety, cleanliness, and quality standards. Conduct quality control audits and ensure facilities and equipment are properly maintained. Ensure emergency response procedures are in place and regular safety drills are completed.
  • Create Exceptional Family Experiences: Ensure every swim school delivers a welcoming, positive, and exceptional experience for children and families. Monitor family satisfaction and feedback metrics, including Net Promoter Scores (NPS). Identify trends and opportunities to improve the family experience. Support managers in resolving family concerns and building strong, lasting relationships with students and parents.
  • Champion Program & Curriculum Excellence: Ensure all locations consistently deliver the organization's swim program and curriculum. Partner with managers to evaluate program effectiveness and maintain high standards for quality and safety. Adapt programs and offerings based on community needs, family feedback, and business opportunities.
  • Drive Enrollment, Sales & Growth: Collaborate with Marketing to increase community awareness and drive enrollment. Develop and implement regional strategies for lead generation, outreach, promotions, and retention. Monitor enrollment trends and identify opportunities for new programs, seasonal promotions, and community partnerships. Help each location achieve sustainable growth and build a strong presence in its community.
  • Manage Financial Performance: Manage the regional budget and ensure locations operate within established financial goals. Monitor key business metrics, including revenue, profitability, enrollment, and family retention. Review performance trends and identify challenges and opportunities for improvement. Provide monthly reporting and actionable insights on the performance of each location.
