The Area Manager implements the business plan for their assigned area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals. They identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others. The Area Manager monitors and manages the productivity of their assigned area by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. They maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing procedures. This role supervises and develops associates and leaders by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training needs, and participating in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation. The Area Manager also manages the maintenance and installation of systems hardware and software, troubleshoots systems applications with the Information Systems Division and vendors, and supports the development of current and future systems applications. They demonstrate expertise in developing and executing action plans, providing advice and guidance, and building partnerships with stakeholders. The role models compliance with company policies and procedures, supports the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity, and acts with integrity by being selfless, humble, self-aware, honest, fair, and transparent.
