About The Position

Options Residential offers Community Residential Services to both adults and adolescents who are diagnosed with a mental illness, brain injury or who are chemically dependent. We believe that people deserve the opportunity to fully experience life, so our primary focus is on rehabilitation. This means we help individuals supported to meet personal recovery goals and successfully transition into a more independent setting. The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing 4-5 sites. They would be responsible for training and supervising Program Supervisors as direct reports and direct support professionals as indirect reports. The Area Manager is responsible for ensuring that the programs under them maintain a high quality of services by supporting and evaluating service delivery for individuals receiving services. The Area Manager will support quality service delivery by analyzing each individual's Coordinated Service and Support Plan (CSSP), CSSP addendum, and other programmatic forms for the individual receiving services in accordance with federal and state regulations and the organization's policies and procedures. In this position, the Designated Manager will oversee 4 group homes; each with 4 clients, a site supervisor, and 5-10 DSP staff.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work independently with minimal instruction and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Knowledge of 245D licensing requirements, policies, and procedures.
Willingness and ability to maintain good employee relations and morale.
Ability to work in a variety of settings and with a variety of personal care needs without direct supervision.
Ability to effectively use a computer and software, calculator, household appliances, smoke alarms, etc. with training.
Ability to accept and incorporate new methods into existing practices and implement therapeutic interventions as required.
Ability to master the use of all physical intervention and assistance techniques, necessary to meet the needs of assigned individual with disabilities.
A valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance is required.
Must meet MN 245D Designated Coordinator or Designated Manager requirements.
