Area Manager - Producing
About The Position
Cornerstone is seeking an Area Manager who combines loan production with relationship-building and team leadership. The role manages a personal loan origination pipeline as well as the team’s pipeline, coaches and develops Regional Loan Officers, recruits and onboards Loan Officer candidates, and supports regional production and support strategies. The position calls for strong time management, organization, a positive attitude, interpersonal skills, sales ability, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and clear communication. Applicants must meet the stated education, mortgage-industry experience, licensing, supervisory or management, and Microsoft Office experience requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
- Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) SAFE License required.
- Five years of supervisory experience or more than two years of management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
- Proficiency in sales.
- Creative thinking and exceptional analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly.
- Must be appropriately licensed by the applicable regulator in each state where the employee performs licensable activities.
- Minimum two years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong time management skills, organization, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Originate loans by sourcing and closing loans through a personal production pipeline.
- Manage the team pipeline of loans.
- Coach existing Regional Loan Officers to help them achieve their potential within the company.
- Recruit Loan Officer candidates for the region.
- Onboard new Loan Officer candidates, including training them in the company’s sales culture and disciplines and coaching them toward achieving their potential.
- Assist the regional team with production and support strategies.
