About The Position
Be part of the Innovation Center Manufacturing team as an Area Manager (2nd Shift), producing high-performance tires for Goodyear Racing. In this role, you will lead 25–30 production associates in a unionized environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or 5 years relevant work experience.
- Minimum of one-year relevant work experience, manufacturing or military experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Working knowledge of safety and quality standards, HR policies, and budget management.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of production associates
- Ensure safe and efficient production flow while maintaining quality standards
- Promote and enforce plant safety practices
- Ensure adherence to procedures, audits, and standard work
- Drive continuous improvement and support operational goals (safety, quality, cost, delivery)
- Lead day-to-day operations for the 2nd shift
- Monitor performance and ensure production targets are met
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Quality, Engineering, Operations)
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and engagement
