The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing production activities on the shop floor, ensuring that team members work safely, produce quality parts, meet production goals, and engage in problem-solving. This role involves ensuring proper documentation, auditing team member performance, coordinating manufacturing activities, and ensuring compliance with process control parameters and operator instructions. The Area Manager also plays a key role in training and developing team members to become multi-functional employees, scheduling production and machine changeovers, and analyzing data to develop strategies for Manufacturing Operating System (MOS). Additionally, the position requires managing workplace organization and housekeeping, attending various meetings, and maintaining employee relations policies and safety regulations. The Area Manager is empowered to enforce housekeeping standards plant-wide and perform other assigned essential functions.
