This is a Full-Time leadership position within the Operations division at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Requirements

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational and administrative abilities
  • Proven leadership experience with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Strong initiative with the ability to manage multiple priorities from planning to execution
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods outdoors in varied weather conditions, including extreme heat and sun
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Possess a valid Texas driver’s license
  • High school diploma required
  • Theme park or waterpark experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the park's Rides Department.
  • Direct operational activities within designated areas, meeting the needs of both guests and staff while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
  • Build a positive, high-performance team culture, enhancing retention rates and fostering a sense of camaraderie among team members.
  • Offer mentorship to all team members, supporting their goal achievement through positive communication and coaching.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all standard operating procedures related to slides and attractions, adapting procedures as ride operations evolve.
  • Engage in advanced planning to effectively manage volume, sales, and throughput in all areas, optimizing the guest experience.
  • Develop action plans and analyze data/trends to drive ongoing performance enhancements and reduce incidents.
  • Maintain compliance with International Ride Training’s iROC program and corporate operations policies and standards, keeping accurate records as per Six Flags and IRT policies.
  • Coordinate and conduct department certification, orientation, and ongoing on-the-job training.
  • Approach problem-solving and difficult situations with a composed and attentive demeanor to find effective solutions.
  • Oversee all aspects of staff management, from recruitment to training and scheduling, with precision and organization.
  • Foster effective communication with other departments to optimize guest service efficiencies.
  • Assist in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of fiscal budgets and labor optimization efforts.
  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment to safety standards, prioritizing the well-being of both guests and staff.
  • Consistently meet or surpass established sales and service targets.
  • Step in as Manager On-Duty as needed to ensure operations run smoothly for the department and division.
