About The Position

This position is responsible for implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. The role involves monitoring and managing productivity through business reports, maintaining quality and safety standards by training associates and monitoring compliance, and resolving associate, customer, and supplier concerns. Additionally, the Area Manager supervises and develops associates and leaders, manages the execution of QA guidelines, procedures, and programs to increase efficiency and maintain inventory integrity, oversees systems hardware and software maintenance and installation, and troubleshoots systems applications with the Information Systems Division (ISD) and vendors.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year supervisory experience OR Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Logistics or related field OR 2 years Walmart logistics experience OR 2 years supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Implement the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads.
  • Monitor and manage productivity of area of responsibility by preparing, reviewing, and/or analyzing business reports.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring associate compliance, and distributing/maintaining procedures.
  • Identify associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns and determine corrective action or make recommendations.
  • Supervise and develop associates and leaders in area of responsibility by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training needs.
  • Manage the execution of QA guidelines, procedures, and programs by identifying ways to increase building efficiency and maintain inventory integrity.
  • Manage systems hardware and software maintenance and installation by overseeing installation, ensuring repairs are completed, and tracking inventory.
  • Manage the troubleshooting of systems applications by working on systems problem resolution with ISD and vendors.
