About The Position

This role involves managing a specific area within a facility, focusing on quality assurance and systems. The Area Manager will be responsible for implementing the business plan, monitoring productivity, maintaining quality and safety standards, and managing systems hardware and software. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting systems applications and working with the Information Systems Division (ISD) and vendors. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year supervisory experience OR Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Logistics or related field OR 2 years Walmart logistics experience OR 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Implement the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads.
  • Monitor and manage productivity of area of responsibility by preparing, reviewing, and/or analyzing business reports.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing procedures.
  • Identify associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others to determine corrective action or make recommendations.
  • Supervise and develop associates and leaders in area of responsibility by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing feedback, teaching policies, identifying training needs, and participating in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation.
  • Manage the execution of QA guidelines, procedures, and programs by identifying ways to increase building efficiency and maintain inventory integrity.
  • Manage systems hardware and software maintenance and installation by overseeing work to install new/replacement systems, ensuring repairs are completed, and tracking inventory and ordering components.
  • Manage the troubleshooting of systems applications by working on systems problem resolution with ISD and vendors and supporting the continuing development of current and future systems applications.
