About The Position

This position is responsible for implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals. They will monitor and manage the productivity of their area by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. Additionally, they will maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing procedures. This role involves identifying and resolving associate, customer, and supplier concerns, and supervising and developing associates and leaders by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training needs. The Area Manager will also be responsible for hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluating associates and leaders. The role emphasizes building high-performing teams, embracing diversity, creating a culture of belonging, and empowering associates to thrive. It also involves working collaboratively, communicating with impact, attracting and retaining talent, and recognizing contributions. The Area Manager must act with integrity, uphold ethical standards, and support Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company by making a positive impact. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year's supervisory experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR 1 year's Walmart Logistics Management experience OR 2 years' Walmart Logistics experience OR 2 years' supervisory experience.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
