Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) roles, with strong preference for 3+ years in field-based or industrial environments.
  • Strong field-based experience supporting active job sites.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations or regional operations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks across multiple sites.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE management systems.
  • Valid driver’s license required; must be able to operate a company or personal vehicle for business purposes and meet all applicable company and client screening requirements based on job duties (e.g., motor vehicle record, background check, drug testing, or other applicable screenings).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Experience in electrical services, industrial services, or construction environments.
  • Experience supporting safety programs in a multi-site environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, BCSP STS/CHST/OHST) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HSE point of contact across assigned locations or region.
  • Maintain consistent presence in the field to support safe work execution and reinforce HSE expectations.
  • Coach technicians and site leadership on safe work practices and hazard awareness.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through engagement, communication, and visibility.
  • Conduct job site visits, safety walkthroughs, and behavior-based safety observations (BBS).
  • Perform and support risk assessments, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and hazard identification activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Support coordination with vendors, contractors, and third parties for HSE-related matters.
  • Facilitate incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis.
  • Support development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Track and monitor incidents and trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and field-based training sessions.
  • Share best practices and lessons learned across locations to promote consistency.
  • Support worker engagement programs and safety initiatives.
  • Support implementation and execution of HSE programs and initiatives across assigned locations.
  • Track and analyze HSE performance metrics.
  • Participate in safety committees and assist in driving continuous improvement efforts.
  • Act as liaison between field operations and HSE leadership.
  • Partner with site leadership to align safety initiatives with operational needs.
  • Support broader organizational safety goals and initiatives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders including Operations, HR, and Safety leadership to support incident management, training initiatives, and compliance efforts.
  • Interface with clients as needed to support site-specific safety requirements, incident response, and alignment with customer expectations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support business needs.
