About The Position

The Area Director of Human Resources will balance property-specific and corporate HR priorities while executing enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives. This role provides strategic support to property leadership, offering coaching, talent assessments, and development plans that build high-performing teams. The Area Director will lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, cultivate diverse and qualified talent pipelines through strategic partnerships and sourcing efforts, and drive equitable compensation practices. They will oversee annual merit review processes in alignment with market trends, champion associate relations by leading investigations and ensuring policy compliance, ethics adherence, and timely issue resolution. Additionally, this role oversees compliance functions, including AAPs, CBAs (if applicable), and safety/Workers’ Compensation programs, ensuring alignment with local and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Strong HR generalist background
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced proficiency in HRIS platforms (Workday preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and listening skills
  • Bilingual capabilities (based on market needs)

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-property and/or hospitality experience preferred
