The coordinator is key in building effective local work teams, maintaining classroom coverage and child ratios, and managing documentation and reporting. They also play a vital role in engaging parent and community participation, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating staff meetings to address training needs. Maintaining proficiency in database systems like CHILDPLUS and Teaching Strategies is essential for monitoring child and family data. The position involves ordering supplies, participating in meetings and trainings, and overseeing daily operational communication. Building trusting relationships with staff and attending IEP/IFSP meetings are also important aspects of the role. A minimum of 15 clock hours of professional development is required annually.
