About The Position

Morgan Properties is seeking an experienced Area Community Manager to lead multiple residential communities within the Syracuse portfolio. Success in this role comes from leading through others—providing direction, support, and accountability to site teams while maintaining visibility across multiple sites. In this position, you will oversee site teams across multiple locations, ensuring operational consistency, strong financial performance, and an exceptional resident experience. You will partner closely with your Regional Property Manager and corporate teams while holding site leadership accountable for execution.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in team leadership, operations management, and financial performance
  • Strong communication, conflict‑resolution, and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency in property management systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between assigned communities

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members across multiple sites, setting clear expectations and driving performance through delegation and accountability
  • Provide timely, direct feedback—including corrective conversations—when performance, communication, or execution fall short
  • Monitor execution across communities, stepping in when escalation or additional support is required—without taking on daily site‑level responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations across your portfolio, including inspections, maintenance oversight, service standards, and policy compliance
  • Ensure operational consistency across communities by identifying gaps, assigning ownership, and following through on results
  • Oversee the resolution of complex or escalated resident concerns, ensuring professional and timely outcomes
  • Hold site leadership accountable for resident satisfaction, service quality, and community standards across all locations
  • Speak confidently to property financial performance across your assigned communities, including rent collections, expenses, and budget achievement
  • Develop and execute action plans based on community needs, operational challenges, and financial trends
  • Manage vendor relationships and purchasing practices to ensure consistency, cost control, and compliance with company standards
  • Serve as the primary liaison between site teams, your Regional Property Manager, and corporate partners
  • Communicate portfolio‑level risks, trends, and opportunities clearly and proactively
  • Make real‑time decisions in a fast‑paced environment while balancing priorities across multiple locations
