About The Position

Dartcor Enterprises is hiring a full-time Traveling Chef to rotate across our Dartcor Hospitality Group portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to build broad, cross-concept culinary experiences— while enjoying the stability of a single, full-time employer with benefits. This is not a contract position. You'll be a permanent member of the Dartcor culinary team, rotating between assigned properties rather than tied to one kitchen.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in NYC or fine-dining restaurants, boutique hotels, or upscale catering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Minimum 5 years of catering experience
  • Expertise in menu planning, cost control, and food production
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to train and guide kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation protocols
  • Comfortable adapting quickly to new kitchens, teams, and menus across rotating properties
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Bilingual a plus

Responsibilities

  • Rotate between assigned Dartcor properties.
  • Learn and execute each property's menu, service style, and brand standards
  • Partner with property-level kitchen teams, sous chefs, and management during each rotation
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, safety, and presentation across locations
  • Provide coverage during staffing vacancies, high-volume periods, or special events
  • Share cross-property insights, techniques, and best practices back to culinary leadership
  • Lead the kitchen team in preparing and serving high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and creativity in every plate.
  • Develop seasonal menus based on fresh, local ingredients, and cater to client dietary preferences and restrictions.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety, quality standards, and operational excellence.
  • Manage inventory, track supplies, and place orders as necessary to maintain smooth operations.
  • Interact with guests, accommodating special requests and ensuring a superior dining experience.
  • Ensure all kitchen operations comply with safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
