About The Position

At Arthur J. Gallagher, we are seeking a Senior Broker Placement Specialist to join our team of industry experts. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for marketing customer business—often of higher complexity—to a diverse range of insurance carriers. Leveraging your expertise, you will independently evaluate qualified companies in the marketplace, ensuring thorough and strategic placement decisions. The position may be a work leader or supervisor with responsibilities for assigning, prioritizing and monitoring work of less senior Specialists. As a Senior Broker Placement Specialist, you will play a critical role in receiving and managing requests for quotations from account personnel, delivering tailored solutions that align with client needs. While you will operate independently, you will have the support of management for guidance on unusual or complex cases. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years related experience required.
• Insurance licensing required.

Nice To Haves

• Professional designation preferred, such as CPCU, CIC or ARM.

Responsibilities

• Markets customer business, typically of higher complexity, to variety of insurance carriers.
• Ensures thorough evaluation of qualified companies in the marketplace independently
• Receives requests for quotations from account personnel.
• Identifies and analyzes client exposures to recommend and/or design risk transfer/financing products.
• Identifies appropriate carriers, sends requests, negotiates favorable quotes and prepares recommendations.
• Participates in development of department policies and procedures and implements them in assigned area.
• The position may be a work leader or supervisor with responsibilities for assigning, prioritizing and monitoring work of less senior Specialists.
