Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution
Valid Texas certification in Special Education and content area
Experience in a special education classroom setting
Engagement contingent on a background check clearing you to work in public school settings

Responsibilities

Prepare for and facilitate ARD committee meetings, including staffings, documentation, and scheduling
Use district technology applications to manage the ARD process efficiently
Finalize and distribute ARD documentation (ARDs, FIEs) in a timely, compliant manner
Maintain confidential student records and campus folders in accordance with district requirements
Facilitate communication between general and special education staff on all IEP elements — goals, accommodations, and behavior intervention plans
Support compliance with state assessment requirements
Encourage and support parent participation in ARD meetings
Consult with parents and school personnel regarding students' academic, social, emotional, and physical development
Compile reports and documentation as requested by district special education leadership
Support campus special education teams with guidance on policies and procedures
