About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Archival Producer to join the team creating premium longform content exclusively for CNN Flash Docs. This is an ambitious and exciting unit that requires strong leaders and creative storytellers who have experience producing longform serialized content. An integral part of our production team, the Archival Producer must have an eye for both the narrative and the aesthetic, researching, sourcing, and obtaining well-curated and compelling archive.

Requirements

Experience producing longform and feature storytelling.
Strong editorial judgment.
Knowledge of the digital landscape.
Ability to work enthusiastically in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Wealth of archival knowledge.
Extensive archival contacts, both domestic and international.
Creative and deep knowledge of news, history, and pop culture.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment while meeting aggressive deadlines for on-budget work.

Responsibilities

Oversee all archives on the series.
Work within CNN’s existing archive and legal structure on clearances and licensing.
Manage cost documentation of all third-party material.
Work closely with all members of the production unit.
Ensure that the content being produced meets the quality, and journalistic and legal standards of CNN.
