About The Position
The Beck Group is seeking Architecture Interns for its 2023 Summer Internship Program across its offices. This entry-level internship is in the Architectural career path and is intended for current students interested in architecture. Under general supervision, the intern works from designs created by others and performs routine architectural assignments. The position offers exposure to the design process, client presentations, construction documents, owner meetings, and the firm's integrated project delivery approach. Interns may also participate in Beck's Intern Design Competition. Candidates should be comfortable using 3D modeling and design tools such as SketchUp, Revit, and Photoshop.
Requirements
- Be a high school or college/university student.
- Have a willingness to learn and be mentored by architects and design staff.
- Have a passion for getting things done and demonstrate authenticity and integrity.
- Be comfortable using SketchUp, Revit, and Photoshop.
- Submit a resume and portfolio.
Nice To Haves
- Be in the fourth or fifth year of college/university.
- Have experience with Revit and SketchUp.
- Have an interest in integrated project delivery, process improvement, and technology.
Responsibilities
- Assist in design rendering.
- Assist in producing graphics and presentations for clients.
- Generate renderings using different technologies.
- Assist in preparing construction documents.
- Participate in owner meetings.
- Assist in preparing meeting minutes.
- Learn and understand the design process.
- Participate in the Intern Design Competition.
- Work in a team environment.
