Architecture Intern
About The Position
The Beck Group is hiring Architectural Interns for its 2026 Summer Internship Program, with opportunities across its offices. This entry-level internship is intended for current students interested in architecture. Under general supervision, the intern works from designs created by others and performs routine architectural assignments. The role uses 3D modeling tools as part of the design process, and candidates should be comfortable with SketchUp, Revit, and Photoshop. The ideal candidate is willing to learn and be mentored by architects and design staff, is motivated to get things done, and demonstrates authenticity and integrity. Interest in integrated project delivery, process improvement, and technology is also valued.
Requirements
- Be a high school or college/university student.
- Be comfortable using SketchUp, Revit, and Photoshop.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and be mentored.
- Demonstrate a passion for getting things done, authenticity, and integrity.
- Ability to coordinate and participate in client meetings and communicate with the project team and related parties.
- Ability to maintain architectural design and production best practices and consistent attendance.
- Ability to carry plans or boxes weighing more than 10 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Students in their fourth or fifth year of college/university are preferred.
- Experience with Revit, Rhino, and SketchUp is preferred.
- Interest in integrated project delivery, process improvement, and technology.
Responsibilities
- Assist with design rendering.
- Assist in producing graphics and presentations for clients.
- Generate renderings using different technologies.
- Assist in preparing construction documents.
- Participate in owner meetings.
- Assist in preparing meeting minutes.
- Learn and understand the design process.
- Participate in the Intern Design Competition.
- Work in a team environment.
