Architecture Expert

Weekday AI
$65 - $90Remote

About The Position

We are seeking a select group of experienced architects to help evaluate and improve how advanced AI systems understand, interpret, and reason about real-world architectural concepts and practices. As an Architecture Expert, you will apply your professional experience to review AI-generated content, assess technical accuracy, answer architecture-specific questions, and provide thoughtful feedback that helps make AI tools more reliable and useful for architectural applications. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity requiring approximately 10 hours per week. The role is fully remote, with potential opportunities for continued involvement as projects evolve.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified architect with an active professional architecture license in the United States.
  • 2+ years of professional architecture experience, ideally involving multiple project types such as residential, commercial, institutional, or mixed-use developments.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design, documentation, project workflows, and industry practices.
  • Familiarity with applicable building codes and standards, including the International Building Code (IBC) and related regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with common architectural tools and technologies such as Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience working on built, completed, or realized projects is preferred; purely academic or conceptual experience alone is less relevant.
  • Strong ability to analyze architectural concepts and communicate technical reasoning clearly.
  • Comfortable using everyday AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar platforms.
  • Based in the United States.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Able to reliably commit approximately 10 hours per week.

Nice To Haves

  • The ideal candidate is a practicing architect with strong real-world project experience and the ability to distinguish between theoretically plausible architectural responses and solutions that would actually work in professional practice.
  • You should be comfortable evaluating design decisions, architectural documentation, code considerations, project workflows, and AI-generated content with a critical professional eye.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate written content and AI-generated responses related to architecture for accuracy, relevance, completeness, and professional quality.
  • Answer domain-specific questions and provide clear, well-reasoned feedback grounded in real-world architectural practice.
  • Identify relevant reference materials, standards, guidelines, and resources that can improve AI understanding of architecture.
  • Share practical insights into how architects approach projects, including design processes, documentation, coordination, tools, workflows, and industry standards.
  • Assess whether AI-generated recommendations and solutions align with established architectural practices and applicable requirements.
  • Collaborate with a small group of subject-matter experts across architecture and other professional disciplines.
  • Help identify gaps, inconsistencies, or areas where AI systems require better architectural reasoning.
