About The Position

Black Family Hospitality (BFH) is seeking a Full-Time Architectural Project Manager to join our growing team and support a robust pipeline of hospitality and restaurant projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically skilled, and comfortable wearing multiple hats. You’ll work alongside the Director of Design, SVP of Construction and Development, and company leadership to translate hand-drawn concepts into detailed, buildable drawings, maintain and update existing restaurant documentation, and help develop new properties from concept to completion, work with contractors and make decisions in real time. With several new projects on the horizon and ongoing work across multiple locations, this is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow with a fast-moving, design-forward company.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant design or drafting experience in hospitality, commercial, or retail environments
  • Hands on, able to pro-actively address problems quickly and dissimulate it to the contractors
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Photoshop
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable interpreting hand sketches and asking clarifying questions
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills
  • Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset
  • All work is in-person at the High Road office. Traveling to project sites a few times a month will be required along with overnight stays

Responsibilities

  • Create architectural drawings from hand sketches, verbal direction, and concept plans
  • Develop floor plans, elevations, and technical details in AutoCAD or Revit
  • Coordinate small updates, repairs, and additions for operating restaurant locations
  • Support documentation and design for upcoming projects
  • Gather field measurements and assess existing conditions during site visits
  • Participate in in-person meetings for project reviews and team collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Design and executive team.
  • Working for contractors, making decisions in real time and keeping projects on schedule
  • Maintain organized drawing sets and manage project files efficiently.
  • Efficient and has a hand's - on approach
  • Willingness to jump in and finish what they started
  • Quick learner that is able to grasp information quickly, and doesn't shy from asking questions to make the best decision
