About The Position

As a trusted national architecture/engineering/construction consulting firm, Marx Okubo works with real estate owners, investors and lenders—at every point of the property lifecycle—to evaluate their building projects, solve complex challenges and implement tailored solutions. We value technical proficiency, innovation, dedication and achievement as well as collaboration, both within our organization and in our client interactions. We're seeking a Project Coordinator in Denver, CO. We're on a hybrid schedule with 2 days in the office and the other three either from home or the field as needed. Our work covers most commercial building types, including office, retail, industrial, hotel/hospitality and multifamily, and is focused on technical and practical solutions. There are limited to no design opportunities in this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or architectural engineering
  • 1- 5 years of experience at an architecture firm is ideal. New graduates with one to two related internships may be considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel and Bluebeam, with Box AI a plus
  • General understanding of building materials and methods
  • Developing ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, remain organized, and take initiative
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally

Nice To Haves

  • Hours completed towards licensure preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the review and evaluation of existing buildings and new construction
  • Perform field observations for property condition assessments, construction loan monitoring and new construction
  • Perform plan reviews for general code compliance and adequacy of construction, including coordination, detailing, and building materials and systems
  • Perform cost comparison and budget analysis for new construction projects
  • Perform existing building replacement cost evaluations
  • Assist in architectural/engineering repair projects for existing buildings
  • Travel as needed to project sites
